<미드 프렌즈 시즌1 에피소드03 라이팅>

프렌즈 시즌1 EP03에 나온 모든 문장 중에서 실전에서 쓸 만한, 그리고 괜찮은 단어와 숙어가 있으면

정리하고 나의 실생활에 맞게 직접 변형해서 연습해야겠다.

 

계속 듣고 말하고 Writing까지 하셔야 체화가 되는거에요!!

- walk someone

→ Do you want me to walk you to the subway?

→ How sweat he is! He walked me to home after a date

 


Okay, let's say I bought a really great pair of shoes

- Let's say

→ Let's say I bought this luxury goods, am I gonna be happy?

→ Let's say he likes you, then why doesn't he ask you go out?

→ Let's say you have a bunch of money, what would you do?


Oh, I can't believe you! You've been so good for three year! 

- have p.p : ~해 버렸다

→ I have broken my phone

→ I haven't been to the state

→ I haven't tried wall climbing


Alright. I'm gonna to change, I've got a date

- have got = got

→ I've got a plan to go see the dentist

→ I've got a cake for her

→ She's got a date with him


So when do you get to meet the guy?

- get to - 상태의 변화

→ Maybe I should get to used to this taste

→ I get to know about her more

→ I get to speak better compared to the place where I fist started learning


Well, you do realize the odds of the happening are a little slimmer if they never get to meet the guy

- odds : 확률

→ The odds are that she'll win

→ Against all the odds and expectations, he won 2nd

You know the odds of that happening is rare if you don't do any efforts


So I think Alan will become the yardstick against which all future boyfriends will be measured

- yardstick : 기준 / against which : ~와 비교하여

→ She is my roll model against which I would be in the future

→ The founder used MS as the yardstick against whcih his company would be in it's direction

→ One's salary is not the yardstick for his ability


I'd marry him just for his David Hasselhof impression alone

- just for ~ alone

→ I like that soccer team just for that player alone

→ That restaurant that I told you before is favorite just for the dishes alone

→ Ilike that job just for the money alone


I personally could have a gallon of Alan

- could - ~하면 좋겠다

→ I could get a cup of water

→ I could eat pizza for dinner

→ I could live without it


Sure you don't want a pretzel?

- sure you don't~

→ Sure you don't want a chicken leg?

→ Sure you don't want a pizza?

→ Sure you don't wanna join us?


 

You know, there's nothing wrong with speaking correctly

→ It seems there's nothing wrong with it. I can't find what's wrong

→ There's nothing wrong with the spoon. There's gotta something wrong with soup

→ There's nothing wrong with the system. It must be the staff


Hey, you know, I've had it with you. Stop it!

-  have had with : 참을 수 있는 한계를 넘겼다

→ I've had it with him

→ I've had it with this job-I'm quitting

→ I've had it with his not answering to me


Well, yeah, I have one now and then

- now and then : 가끔

 


Okay. I think it's time to change someone's nicotine patch

-  It's time to

→ Hey guys~ it's time to lunch~

→ Hey! It's time to watch I live Alone!

→ It's time to search my job seriously


There you go

-  여기 있어, 잘했어, 그래야지

→ in restaurant

→ to my friend

→ someone's decided to do something he was hesitating to do


And on my way over here, I stepped in gum.. What is up with the universe?

- what is up with : 무슨 일이야

→ What's up with you?

→ What's up with the big crowd in front of the building?

→ What's up with the computer? It's blacked out

 


I mean, with the holidays coming up, I wanted him to meet my family

- with

→ He's sleeping with his legs on the table

→ I'm getting to plan my vacation with the summer coming up

→ I wanna buy some swimming suit with the summer coming up


You had a rough day, huh?

- rough : 표면이 거친, 울퉁불퉁한 , 대충

→ It sounds like you must had a rough day

→ This company is not built on rough numbers

→ The path is rough that it's hard to ride a bike
